Colostrum is the first milk produced after birth. In the Anovité range the central distinction is timing: Colostrum6 is described as first-milking colostrum collected within six hours, before dilution begins. That timing is where understanding starts. It isn't a promise of a medical outcome.
Start with the biology
Colostrum contains a distinct mix of proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals, and its composition shifts fast. Reference tables cited by colostrum researcher Dr Anthony Kleinsmith show protein falling from about 17.6% at birth to about 6.1% by 12 hours, as ordinary transitional milk dilutes it.
That's why Anovité puts the six-hour window at the centre of the Colostrum6 story. For you, the practical lesson is simple: ask where the colostrum came from, when it was collected and how the finished product was tested.
Read claims in context
Words like pure, raw or third-party tested describe sourcing or quality processes. They don't mean a supplement suits everyone. Read the label, consider allergies and diet, and speak to a qualified health professional if you have a condition or take medication. India already has a word for this first milk: read khees and the first milk.

Common questions
What does the 6 in Colostrum6 mean?
It refers to the collection window: first-milking colostrum gathered within six hours of calving.
Why does colostrum change so quickly?
After birth the cow starts producing transitional milk, which dilutes the colostrum. Protein content drops sharply within the first 12 hours.
Does the calf still get its colostrum?
Responsible dairies make sure the calf receives the colostrum it needs. If animal welfare matters to you, ask the brand how calves are fed before buying.
